New method of live line measuring the parameters of t-connection transmission lines with mutual inductance

Based on GPS technology, a novel method of live line measuring the zero sequence parameters of T-connection transmission lines with mutual inductance is proposed. The mathematical models of the new method are explained in detail. The hardware structure and digital simulation results are given. Finally, an example of live line measuring two 220kV transmission lines with T-connection branches in South China power grid is given. The field measurement results prove that the new method can meet the needs of live line measurement of T-connection transmission lines' inductance parameters.
