To improve the effectiveness and quality of the vibration control for a flexible marine riser with the system parametric uncertainty,we estimate the parameters and employ the adaptive control technology and Lyapunov synthesis method to design an adaptive boundary controller to suppress the vibration of the riser coupled with internal fluid dynamics.With the proposed adaptive boundary control,system parameter uncertainty can be compensated,the control-spillover problem can be avoided,and the stability and uniform boundedness can be achieved.Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the adaptive boundary controller to suppress the riser’s vibration.
