Integrating computers into the nursing environment.

A computerized nursing system has many benefits for both the nursing staff and the hospital. Adequate planning and orientation are essential in order for nurses at the bedside to use the system and to reap its full benefits. The author gives an overview of some of the effects of nursing along with some applications to clinical practice that bear directly on staff nurses.
