Research on Direct Damage-based Seismic Capacity Design Method of R.C.Frames

In this paper,based on the anti-seismic designing idea of building structures that depends on the performance,a method for direct damage-based seismic capacity design is presented.Firstly,the relationship of equivalent displacement ductility index and damage index is built,and various structural equivalent displacement ductility indexes for different levels of seismic damage performance objectives are provided.Secondly,according to the relationship,seismic reductuin coefficient is calculated by the displacement ductility index,and nonlinear seismic action is defined.Thirdly,the demand and the push-over curve are built,and the structural performance-based seismic capacity is evaluated by the relationship of the demand and the push-over curve.Finally,the feasibility of the method is verified through an example.
