Multi-screen broadcast-broadband synchronization system using hybridcast

NHK has been studying broadcast-broadband synchronization as a technology for advanced integrated broadcast-broadband services. This paper proposes a system design for the synchronized multi-screen presentation of video streams from broadcast and broadband that are displayed on a TV and a mobile device respectively. The system uses the synchronization function defined in the Hybridcast v2.0 specifications. Experimental results verified that the proposed system can accurately facilitate synchronized multi-screen display.
