Two Level Optimization and Control of the Complex of Operations

Abstract The paper deals with the time—optimal optimization of the complex of parallel operations with random parameters. The control consiste in the proper allocations of the limited resources and tasks in the separate operations according to the current results of the measurements of the operation parameters as to minimise the expected realization time of the whole complex. In the first part the problem of the decomposition of the considered optimization approach in probabilistic conditions is formulated and two ways of finding the sub- optimal solution are presented. Numerical examples illustrate the described method and give some resulte concerning the comparison of the obtained two-level optimization system with the direct optimization. In the second part the twolevel system with the allocation of resources and the service of tasks on two levels is considered and the algorithms of optimization and control are defined. The examples illustrate the possibilities of applying the present approach and obtained results for the management and control of complex technological processes and for the management of computational processes in the real-time computer operating systems.
