Initial Coarse Alignment Technique Based on Wavelet for Inertial Navigation System

The strapdown inertial navigation system(SINS) in weapon system needs initial alignment before the weapon is launched.The strong output noises of Gyros and accelerometers reduce the alignment accuracy.To reduce the noises,the paper applies the wavelet denoising technique for the initial coarse alignment.The result shows that the wavelet can effectively reduce the output noises of inertial instruments and this alignment based on wavelet is faster than the common alignment to gain the same precision.
