A Method of Untouched Image Localization for Paper Cutting

To seek for new ways of measuring paper cutting to substitute traditional touched measuring methods, an untouched image localization for paper cutting system is proposed in this paper, which makes use of techniques of image segmentation, image match and measurement. The method of image processing in this system is discussed. The precision of the system and the factors that result in measurement errors are analyzed. Experiment results indicate that the measurement time is less than 0.5s, and the precision of measurement is 7mm, which verify the validity of the method. The method provides a new idea for online measurement and localization of objects
