Incremental Frequency Rule for Computing the Q-Factor of a Shielded TE/sub omp/ Dielectic Resonator (Short Papers)

The principle of Wheeler's incremental inductance rule is applied to the TE/sub omp/ cylindrical resonator within a metal enclosure. The procedure permits one to compute the conductor losses solely from the decrease in resonant frequency when the metal walls are receded for one skin depth.
