The Design of Discrete Cosine Transform Based on MPEG-2

： DCTis one of the key techniques of MPEG 2 video coding system which has fast algorithm and can realize live video compression． In this thesis based on analyzing and improving fast algorithm of DCT and distributed algorithm DA after considering precision speed area and other important performance indexes the design scheme is presented and carried out by FPGA． The design adopts pipeline transaction and through the analysis of the time sequence of the system the design is proved to have the character of high pipeline and conforms to the reuqest of live computation
