Resource allocation to interrelated projects

A multiattribute utility function was used to specify the decision-maker's preferences, along with a zero-one budget model, to solve the problem of selecting among interrelated multiobjective long-range projects. Increasing the number of projects increases the complexity of the problem. The advantages of the model for relatively small problems are demonstrated by a case study dealing with a subset of Israeli water development projects for 1981.
