접근가능한 주택 디자인 적용에 따른 소요비용과 지불의사금액 비교

In an aging society, accessible housing features become more important for the elderly for their independent living. The purpose of this study is (1) to calculate total costs to apply accessible design features to existing housing buildings for renovation and construction situation, (2) to investigate the amount of willingness to pay(WTP) for accessible design features for renovation and construction situation, and (3) compare two amounts. This study uses the contingent valuation method(CVM) in order to estimate the amount of WTP. The estimated total costs for renovation to existing housing buildings range from 11.4 million KRW to 57.0 million KRW and those for construction situation range form 2.3 million KRW to 47.4 million KRW. The amount of WTP for renovation or alternation to existing housing was 43.4 million KRW and that of buying a new house was 79.6 million KRW. The estimated total cost for renovation or construction compared to the amount of WTP for renovation or buying a new house was similar or less.
