RESULTS OF MONITORING RADON (222Rn; 220Rn) GAS AND GAMMA DOSE RATE OVER TIME AT MUONG HUM RARE EARTH MINE, LAO CAI

This paper investigates the characteristics of gamma radiation dose rate variation and the concentration of radioactive gas radon (222Rn; 220Rn) over time at the environmental radiation monitoring station of the Muong Hum rare earth mine. Using statistical methods to process data of gamma dose rate, radioactive gas concentration of radon (222Rn; 220Rn) over time at the monitoring station. The results of the study help to correct for diurnal variation and annual mean of radioactive gas concentrations and gamma dose rates when calculating mean effective dose and annual effective dose. The results of the radioactive environment survey in 2021 at the environmental radiation monitoring station at the Muong Hum rare earth mine with the corrected numbers of radon and thoron are 1.65 and 1.97 respectively
