Taguchi design experiments for optimizing the gas chromatographic analysis of residual solvents in bulk pharmaceuticals

Abstract Taguchi design experiments were conducted in order to identify and optimize the parameters that yield a maximum separation of 26 solvents commonly found in bulk pharmaceuticals. Wide-bore columns with chemically cross-linked stationary phases of different polarities were retained owing to their sensitivity and specificity in optimizing the analysis via a simple response function based on information theory.
