A New Control Method of One-Switch Wireless V2H with a Combination of Resonant Selector and Voltage Changer

This paper proposed a wireless vehicle to home (V2H) system following SAE J2954 of international standard by resonant capacitor selector and supply voltage changer. Conventional bidirectional wireless power transfer system for V2H is consisted by full-bridge converter. Hence, the system is large and high cost. In this study, aiming for small and low cost of the wireless V2H system, the system is consist of a single-ended converter with one switch. In early study, there are two problems. First, when the circuit parameters vary by only several percent, transmitting power is dramatically changed. Therefore, the system has low robustness. Second, the variable transmitting power range is not enough, because the operating frequency exceeds the international standard frequency band. In order to solve above problems, proposed is a new control method of one-switch wireless V2H with a combination of resonant selector and voltage changer. The resonant selector changes phase difference between power feeding and power receiving units and improves robustness of the system. Furthermore, the transfer power can be controlled by the voltage changer under constant frequency and improve controllability. It was verified by proposed control method in experiment.
