Does fist pumping/clenching during venipuncture activate blood coagulation?

Preanalytical variability plays a crucial role in hemostasis testing, wherein the quality of test results may be jeopardized by the use of inappropriate or mishandled procedures for collecting diagnostic samples [1]. The identification of critical steps and the standardization of activities during venous blood drawing should hence be regarded as essential requisites to guarantee the quality and reliability of tests results [2].
