How Alaska Affects the World

Sea levels are rising due to global warming. In his Perspective, [Meier][1] discusses the contributions of glacier melting in Alaska to sea level rise. He highlights the report by [ Arendt et al .][2], who show that Alaskan glacier melting has been underestimated. Meier concludes that future sea level rise may be higher than expected.
