A Prototypical Simulation of Homicide Prevention with Territorial Autonomous Defense Systems

We consider a system we call territorial autonomous defense systems (or terrads), whose service is to maximize the survival time of as many human beings as possible within its territory, and develop a simulation to demonstrate some hardware/software as pect of their proposed repertoire of properties. Clearly, the goal of terrads has a large domain and our own goal is a smaller s cope of prevention of a particular type of crime: homicide. Our approach is two-pronged: develop a general and extensible theo ry of terrads and build a simulation to test it. In the past six months, among other things, we have built a basic Monte Carlo simulation of terrads which relies on an expert system.
