ELECTROMAGNETIC SOUNDING CURVE SMOOTHING BASED ON DIFFUSION BALANCE

Electromagnetic sounding curve need to be smoothed for removing the noise in the pre-processing,the curve may be under-smoothed or over-smoothed.So it is important how to select a proper smoothing scale.In this paper,we determine the smoothing scale by diffusion balance with analyzing the signal and the noise energy variation in anisotropic diffusion smoothing processing.The synthetic and field data tests show that a balance can be reached between noise suppression and curve feature preservation and restoration by the new smoothing and time scale estimation method.
