Correlation Of A Magnetic Resonance Brain Image And Tissue Impedance

Using the ANALYZE software package developed at the Biodynamics Research Unit of the Mayo Clinic, we have segmented a Tlweighted MRI of the brain according to tissue type, and determined the range of gray scale values for each of four tissues. From the linear regression analysis applied to the graph of the average gray scale value versus the average impedance values, a high correlation between MR gray scale values and the electrical impedance of imaged tissue has b een established,
