The analysis of vibration measurement and current signature in motor drive faults detection

As the integral parts of the machine drive systems, the induction motors are subject of the appearance of numerous electrical or mechanical faulty states. The use of various diagnostic techniques often leads to the more accurate condition assessment. The malfunctions on rotor, stator and other electrical motor components can be successfully detected by vibration measurement and motor current signature analysis. In this paper the advantages of these techniques on induction motor condition assessment has been discussed.
