Research on temperature field and thermal stress simulation for Yunkou Arch Dam during construction period

3D FEM is used to simulate the variation regularities of the temperature field and the thermal stress field of Yunkou RCC Dam during construction preiod;in addition,the thermodynamic properities of the roller compacted concrete,the variation of environmental temperature,the pipe cooling condition of concrete and the arch closure opportunity are considered;the analytical result shows that the macimum temperature of the dam concrete occurred of 4-6 days after it was placed;the highest temperature area occurred in the zone placed in summer;the larger thermal stress occurred at the dam surface in winter.
