Process simulation for inter-project learning in concurrent development projects: information system acquisition and organisational change.

Inter-project learning is becoming more and more central in today’s project environment, when the work is conducted in temporary project organisations and the knowledge must be managed between projects. This paper focuses on one case study of inter-project learning between two projects: information system acquisition and organisational change. The research is based on SimLab process simulation. The results suggest that process simulations are one possibility to ensure inter-project learning between concurrent projects that aim at the development of the same business process.
