REFLECTIVE CRACKING IN ASPHALT OVERLAY ON EXISTING PCC

The development of a new anti-reflective cracking measure, special steel grid (SSG) is described. In order to investigate the process of initiation and propagation of reflective cracking and validate further the effect of SSG on retarding the reflective cracking under repeated loads, both laboratory scale test pavements and field test roads were constructed. The analyses of both test results are discussed.
