Numerical Simulations of Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flow During Filling Process Based on Projection-Level Set Method

A three dimensional incompressible gas-liquid two-phase flow model was proposed to accurately simulate the fluid flow of casting's mould filling process.The Level Set method is adopted to capture the gas-liquid interface and the projection method is used to solve the three dimensional two-phase flow equations.The results indicate that the presented method can work well in the simulation of the two-phase flows of the filling processes of three dimensional complex castings.
