Ship Data Model Using Cell Network

This paper deals with the representation of the geometry of the ship and scantling rules together in a single database system which consists of four database components. The ship is represented by logical spaces such as after peak region, fore peak region, engine room, etc. The geometry of the ship is represented with the help of space pointers and boundary pointers. Physical components of the boundaries are represented with a hierarchical database which is functionally connected to the scantling rules.
