Embedding a reconfigurable band-pass/band-stop filter into an antenna

This paper presents an approach for embedding a reconfigurable band-pass and band-stop filters into an antenna structure. The band-pass filter is located in the feeding line of the antenna while the band-stop is included in the antenna ground plane. A prototype antenna is simulated, fabricated and tested to prove the validity of our new technique.
