FLEXMAN : a program tool for the integrated design and simulation of flexible manufacturing systems in virtual graphical environment

This paper presents a concept and implementation of the program tool for design and simulation of flexible manufacturing systems (FMS). An integrated control system, which supports intelligent processing of the acquired sensor data, graphically oriented setup of the FMS and dynamically linked automated multilevel control of such a system is presented. A methodology that provides an elegant way of setting an FMS configuration, supports automatic generation of a matrix-based FMS description and consequently, enables effective off-site design and simulation of the FMS by using virtual reality models and Internet-related technologies. (Croatian)U clanku je prikazan koncept i implementacija programskog alata za projektiranje i simulaciju fleksibilnih proizvodnih sustava (FPS). Predstavljen je integrirani sustav upravljanja koji podržava inteligentno procesiranje podataka prikupljenih sa senzora, graficki orijentirano konfiguriranje FPS-a i dinamicki vezano automatsko viserazinsko upravljanje tim sustavom. Metodologija koja osigurava elegantan nacin postavljanja konfiguracije FPS-a podržava automatsko generiranje matricnog opisa FPS-a i na temelju toga omogucava ucinkovito projektiranje i simulaciju FPS-a koristenjem virtualnih modela i ka Internetu orijentiranih tehnologija.
