Internet technologies and arising electronic media have a great impact on education and information access in universities. Especially in the domain of control systems education advanced simulation tools are available in the Internet, which support the comprehension of theory by means of interaction. Even practical implementation are made feasible through teleoperation of real systems in "virtual laboratories". This paper describes an approach for teleoperation of a gantry crane and an inverted pendulum. It is mainly focused on infrastructural aspects and system architectures. Besides that a multi-user scenario is introduced, which allows synchronized cooperation of practising workgroups.
