The apparatus comprises a first generator of another digital signal to prevent that the same levels of an encoded digital signal, a first adder for performing a code conversion by the addition modulo-2 digital encoded signal and said further signal, a reproducing means of the adder output signal recorded on a magnetic medium, a threshold level generator and a comparator to compare the threshold level to the original digital coded signal.
