Género y sexo en el nuevo Diccionario de la Real Academia

This article analyses the changes introduced into the new edition (21st, 1992) of the Dictionary of the Spanish Royal Academy of Language in the field of semantics of nouns referring to people. It transpires from this analysis that, although some progress has been made with respect to the former edition (20th, 1984), we are still far from having a dictionary that does not discriminate against women and does not use linguistic sexism when formulating definitions.
