A New Type of Wireless Electric Vehicle Charger with Miniaturized Single-Ended High Power-Factor Converter

Electric vehicles is expected as effective solution to environmental problem. The wireless power transfer system is suitable for creating a charging infrastructure by installing equipment as carports of private homes. In this paper takes up a wireless EV charging system using a single-ended quasi-resonant inverter with the high power-factor rectifier circuit and the natural cooling construction. To achieve miniaturization and cost reduction of wireless EV charging apparatus, a low-priced PowerFactor correction scheme and cooling construction by high-density have been described. Thanks to these attacks, the volume and weight of the converter has been extremely decreased.
