Fuzzy Integrated Evaluation Algorithm of Existing Bridge Based on Grid

Existing bridge state is often evaluated periodically so that the bridges with high risks can be maintained. This paper presents a fuzzy logic and grid based assessment algorithm for reinforced concrete bridge structures which estimates the current state of existing bridges. The primary assessment process include three main steps (a) the determination of relative weights and the absolute importance of criteria; (b) Estimation of upper and lower importance and ;(c) State assessment by fuzzy integral. When applied to the actually evaluates bridges, the proposed algorithm provided results similar to those obtained by experts, but can improve efficiency of bridge state assessment. We expect that this algorithm can be used as an effective assessment method for existing bridge structures in regular inspection stages.
