Dynamic Clock Management Methodology for Low-Power SoC Design

A number of low-power design techniques at system level are surveyed,and a dynamic clock management(DCM) methodology is presented,which remarkably reduces the dynamic power dissipation of SoC's.The DCM methodology is applied to the design of an LCD controller.It is demonstrated that,by using DCM technology,total power dissipation of the chip is greatly reduced,without any performance degradation.
