The formability process and the optimal blank size estimation of an LCD panel cover have been analyzed by using modeling and numerical simulation-FEM software Dynaform.Simulations have been performed to compare the high-low deflection between corner and edge in different R value,including the theoretical blank size estimation and optimal blank size generated by Dynaform estimation.The second simulation then has been performed with an augmented optimal blank size estimation to ensure the piece height.The influence that corner radiuses is smaller than the thickness of the blank has been discussed with another simulation to obtain a localized plastic deformation and metal flow through using of Dynaform.
