The Transportation Problem Under Probabilistic and Fuzzy Uncertainties

The paper presents the further development of approach proposed by Stefan Chanas and Dorota Kuchta [1,2] for the transportation problem solution in the case of fuzzy coefficients. The direct fuzzy extension of usual simplex method is used to realize the elaborated numerical fuzzy optimization algorithm with fuzzy constraints. It must be emphasized that the fuzzy numerical method proposed is based on the practical embodiment of the pioneer Stefan Chanas idea [3,4] to consider the fuzzy values in the probabilistic sense. The problem is formulated in the more general form of the distributor's benefit maximization.
