A novel roll stabilization controller with aerodynamic coefficient disturbance consideration

A roll stabilization controller considering aerodynamic coefficient disturbance for spinning flight vehicle is proposed in this paper by combining super-twisting-like (STA-like) algorithm and adaptive theory. Using the STA-like algorithm, the presented roll stabilization control scheme can drive both roll angle and rotation rate smoothly converge to the desired value. To select proper design parameters, the dual-layer adaptive scheme is employed. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
