This contention resolution process is adapted to be implemented in a station having a data packet to be transmitted in a wireless telecommunication network, the packet being transmitted (F100) after a predetermined maximum number of revolutions selection prior to said transmission, said method comprising, at each of said turns (k), a step (F20) of drawing a value of a random binary variable (r (k)) representing an authorization or a prohibition to transmit said packet during said turn (k).
