이태리볼로냐의 용도쇠퇴 기계공장건물 재생사례연구

The purpose of this research is to examine a case of 'Ex Machinery factory' which was successfully regenerated into a Multi-Purpose Commercial Center at Bologna. What now contents are supermarket, Apple center, bookstore, hairdress shop, baby cloths shop, cafe, swimming pool, health club, and spa. Because of current paradigm shift in urban planning & architecture, much information on regenerated buildings with new functions is needed. Field site visit, interview with architect and manager, walk through observation, and historial literature review on the site were employed. As results, accessibility, historic culture, female friendly convenience, sustainable energy saving. Relevant data were systematically organized to support and prove the above principles. This project was becoming influential on regeneration of this area by constant influx of wealth, especially making the Commercial Center as a Community center where everyday life of family and individual can be easily maintained and managed conveniently on one stop base. Through this study, the case information of renovated space was systematically described with regenerated space images. This has a significant implication on Korean urban development and building reuse which mostly, has ignored the existing culture and social.
