Classification multi-image channel preview method and system

An embodiment of the invention discloses a classification multi-image channel preview method and system. The method comprises a step of examining whether a service description table (SDT) of a current TS (Transport Stream) has a mosaic service or not; a step of selecting a corresponding TS if so; a step of processing a program association table (PAT) and a program map table (PMT) of the selected TS; a step of displaying the mosaic service; and a step of performing corresponding treatment according to that a user is interested in content of some logic unit and sending a corresponding mosaic program stream to a user terminal. According to the embodiment of the invention, programs are classified, and the user can select one of classifications to reduce the program channel selection number, so that a problem of rapid television program channel selection is solved, and the efficiency of channel selection by the user is improved.
