Analysis of dynamic characteristics of a fiber-optic gyroscope based on dynamic Allan variance

In order to study the dynamic characteristics of a fiber-optic gyroscope,it was proposed that the dynamic error which had been obtained by testing a fiber-optic gyroscope be analyzed by dynamic Allan variance.According to the principle of window function in the dynamic Allan variance method,the analysis results of the dynamic error were discussed under the different window length conditions.Furthermore,a kind of single sway movement and two kinds of composite sway movement were analyzed by the dynamic Allan variance method and their results were provided.There was fluctuating variation of variance in the analysis figures,by which the various non-stationary factors in the dynamic error such as mutation and periodic variation were accurately reflected,and the different sway states hidden in the dynamic errors were clearly identified.Both the theoretical analysis and experimental results indicate that the dynamic Allan variance method is very applicable for analyzing the dynamic characteristics of a fiber-optic gyroscope.
