입자상물질의 배출특성에 대한 실험연구

The regulations for marine diesel engines become stricter than before with the increasing seriousness of environmental issues. The regulations for gas phase harmful exhaust emissions are already enforced all aver the world, and the regulations about diesel particulate matter(PM) will take effect from 2007 in united states of America and from 2009 in European Union. And also International Maritime Organization(IMO) is preparing the regulation for PM. As the requirements, we measured the smoke and PM from the exhaust emissions of our producing engines to obtain the smoke and PM data that are essential to prepare the regulations. We investigated the smoke and PM emission characteristics of marine four-stroke engines on test bed using four types of apparatus that are filter type smokemeter, opacimeter, dilution and dry-dust method PM measuring instrument.
