정지궤도위성 추력기 개발동향

This study inspects a developmental trend of bipropellant propulsion system used in thruster for geostationary satellite. The bipropellant propulsion system is frequently referred to propulsion system of geostationary satellite. This system includes Liquid Apogee Engine(LAE) for orbital transfer to a geostationary orbit and Reaction Control Thruster for control of a location and position in orbit. This paper organizes a bipropellant propulsion system typically used in geosynchronous satellite bus (FS1300, Spacebus 3000, Italsat, HS 601, A2100 and Starbus). Currently, GEO-KOMPSAT-2(GK2) developed in korea use the unified propulsion system applying propulsion system of Spacebus 3000. The characteristics of GK2 propulsion system are described in this paper. Also this study inspects S400 model engine of Astrium(Aerospace Manufacturer) as LAE of GK2.
