Selective arterial spin labeling in conjunction with phase‐contrast acquisition for the simultaneous visualization of morphology, flow direction, and velocity of individual arteries in the cerebrovascular system

In various cerebrovascular diseases the visualization of individual arteries and knowledge about their hemodynamic properties, like flow velocity and direction, can become important for an accurate diagnosis. Magnetic resonance angiography methods are intended to acquire this information, but often a single acquisition is not sufficient to retrieve all of this desired information.
