The eye tracking system for positioning of the high definition camera

This article presents the eye tracking system for positioning of the high definition camera which can be used as a part of the gaze tracking system to obtain high definition images of the human eye area. At first the object detecting methods used for eye detection are presented. Then the Haar feature-based Cascade classifier object detector used in the eye detection system working on embedded platform is described in more details. Also the implementation of the object detector in the OpenCV library is described. Then the camera movement control unit is presented and its communication with the main processing unit is described. Finally the achieved results are summarized and the possible further improvements of this system are proposed.
