An Algorithm for Resource Discovery Based on Metadata Semantic Matching in Semantic Grid Environment

In semantic grid environment, Grid resources are distributed in different peers. Ontology is used to describe resource metadata and semantic contents. Different peers maybe use different ontology to describe resources based on there own domain view. How to discover and match these resources is a hard work. In this paper, a synthetic approach of resource matching is proposed. It combines exact matching of core layer metadata and fuzzy matching of extensional layer metadata. At the same time, it takes into account of semantic matching and resource instance feature matching synthetically. This approach will improve flexibility and accuracy of resource discovery in decentralized environment.
