Dutch project-management body-of-knowledge policy

Abstract The first objective of the paper is to describe a proposed policy of the Netherlands Project Management Institute relating to the project-management body of knowledge ( pmbok ). The place, goals and criteria for a pmbok are discussed. It is proposed that the US Project Management Institute and internet adopt the same pmbok model, i.e. the same organizing principles for project-management professional knowledge. In order to reach this goal an international discussion is necessary. The second objective is to make a contribution to this discussion. The pmboks of the US PMI and the Gesellschaft fur Projekt Management, Germany, are analysed, and some points are defined for the discussion. The third objective is to provide some information about the development of the Dutch construction pmbok .
