Microflora of cowpea seeds and its significance in the biological control of seedborne infection of Xanthomonas campestris pv. vignicola.

Of five species of bacteria and 17 species of fungi associated with the seed the following were most common: Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, Erwinia herbicola, Pseudomonas acidovorans, Fusarium semitectum, Penicillium oxalicum and Trichothecium roseum.
