Improved Power Quality of Sensorless Speed Controlled PMBLDC Motor Drive

This paper presents a position sensorless speed control mechanism for a three phase permanent magnet brushless DC (PMBLDC) motor drive suitable to work in complete speed range. The indices of power quality such as power factor, crest factor, total harmonic distortion of the source current are maintained within standard limit of IEEE 519-2014 by improved power quality converter. The system is simulated using SIMULINK/MATLAB and analysed under variable speed and load conditions for the fan type load profile.
