3D Curves Matching Based on Directional Angles of Junctions

Contour curves matching technique was researched for mosaicing 3D broken objects. Method of 3D curves matching based on direction angles of junctions was presented. Contour curves were filtered and re-sampled. The feature vectors of contour curves were represented by direction angles of junctions on contour curves. Similarity between two contour curves was determined by comparing feature vectors of two contour curves. Contour curves matching and fragments mosaicing were realized. Experimental results show that this approach has robust, fault tolerant, accurately and effectiveness in curves matching and broken objects mosaicing.
